On the Hypixel server, a number of games need resource packs in order to function properly. The following is a list of some potential problems along with their fixes.
The server will present you with the following literature when you join a Hypixel game lobby that employs a unique resource pack (Warlords, Cops, and Crims, for instance):
Mojang created resource packs, which let your game or game servers display various textures and objects according on the game mode you’re playing.
For instance, we employ texture packs in Turbo Karts Racing so that players can race around in real karts instead of horses. This enables us to produce unique weaponry in Warlords and other fascinating cosmetics. Click the green link to open the resource pack when this book appears. As an alternative, you can click on the red link to prevent this book from ever showing up. This will essentially force the server to click on the green link for you every time.
How to Install the Resource Pack
It’s time to install the resource pack now that you have downloaded it. Resource packs can be installed in two primary ways: automatically (for.mcpack files) and manually (for.zip files).Let’s examine both.
Method 1: Installing files by hand (for.zip files)
For Windows Users:
1.To launch the Run dialogue box, press Windows + R.
2. To access the Roaming folder, type %appdata% and press Enter.
3. Locate the resourcepacks folder by navigating to the.minecraft directory.Create it by right-clicking in the directory, choosing New Folder, and giving it the name resourcepacks if it doesn’t already exist.
4. Drag the downloaded zip file into the resourcepacks folder without extracting it.
For Mac Users:
1.Click Go > Go to Folder… from the top menu when Finder is open.
2. Press Enter after typing ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/.
3. Locate the folder called resource packs. If it’s not visible, make it by hand.
4. Drop the downloaded zip file into the designated folder.
Method 2: Automatic Installation (for .mcpack files)
The procedure is considerably more straightforward for.mcpack files:
1. Double-click the downloaded.mcpack file.
2. The installation procedure will start when Minecraft opens automatically.
3. After installation, the pack will show up in the game’s Resource Packs menu.
Note: You might need to right-click the file, select “Open With,” and then pick the Minecraft launcher if your file isn’t opening in the game immediately.
Issue 1: Minecraft will not download the resource pack.
• The resource pack is not downloaded automatically when you join a lobby that needs one, and you are unable to use /resource.
• If a lobby appears to be “attempting to send you the resource pack” when you join it, you never download the resource pack.
Solution:
1. Select your Hypixel Server listing (mc.hypixel.net) from the Minecraft Multiplayer menu. Select “Edit” from the lower left corner.
2. Verify that “Enabled” or “Prompt” is selected for your “Server Resource Pack” in the editor. When you enter a lobby, Enabled will start downloading the resource packs automatically, and Prompt will notify you before the download starts. Click “Done” to save your settings.
3. There we have it! The Hypixel server is now ready for you to download a resource pack. Try restarting your Minecraft client or trying a different version of the game if it still doesn’t work for you.
Issue 2: Resource pack gets stuck downloading at 100%
• You already have your “Server Resource Pack” enabled.
Solution
1. To solve this problem, we must access our.minecraft folder. Go on to step 4 if you already know how to access your folder. If not, begin by selecting “Options” from the main screen of Minecraft.
2. Next, select “Resource Packs…”
3. Select “Open resource pack folder” after that.
4. In your Folder Explorer’s address bar, click the “.minecraft” file.
5. A list of directories should now appear; locate and open the “server-resource-packs” folder.
6. Right-click in a blank space in your Folder Explorer and select “New” followed by “Folder” if you are unable to locate this folder. Put “server-resource-packs” as the name of your new folder. You can stop here; this should resolve your problem.
7. After entering the folder, remove anything within it.
8. Restarting your Minecraft client should resolve the problem. Try a different version of Minecraft if not.
Issue 3: Minecraft crashes when downloading a resource pack.
• You have enabled Server Resource Packs; if not, confirm that Issue 1 prompts you to do so.
• This problem may occur for Forge users without a crash, but an error message stating.
Solution:
1. To begin, navigate to your.minecraft folder by following the instructions in Issue 2. Once there, select “New” and then “Folder” by right-clicking on an empty section of your folder explorer. Put “server-resource-packs” as the name of your new folder.
2. All you need to do now is restart your Minecraft client.
Issue 4: Resource packs in other parts of the server.
• As an illustration, your Smash Heroes resource pack appears in the Hypixel Main Lobby.
Solution:
1. Restart the client for Minecraft.
Issue 5: Stuck “unloading texture” when joining a lobby.
• The solution remains the same even if this occurs in any lobby.
Solution:
To access your.minecraft folder, either follow Issue 2’s instructions OR follow Issue 2’s instructions. Once there, remove the “server-resource-packs” folder and make a new one.
